Boots Hearingcare is really David Ormerod Hearing Centres inside Boots stores. They are one of the largest hearing aid retailers in the UK with around 200 hearing aid dispensers. Their head office is in Llandudno, North Wales. The vast majority of these dispensers operate from within the Boots stores although Boots do not employ them.
Although Boots Hearingcare profess to be independent, they are in reality 49% owned by the Swiss hearing aid manufacturer Phonak. The prices that they charge are high but not the highest. The product range that they offer is relatively limited and does not include all of the major manufacturers. If you've been quoted for hearing aids from Boots then the chances are you will have been offered a Phonak or a Unitron hearing aid (Unitron are owned by Phonak).
Hearing Aids at Trade offer the full range of hearing instruments available and are not owned wholly or partially by any other hearing aid company.
