Hearing Aid Advice

More and more people are being found to have a previously undiagnosed hearing loss during a new hearing screening program offered by Independent hearing aid company (Associated Independent Hearing Aid Services) A.I.H.A.S.

What is more shocking is that some clients are going through their daily activities, oblivious in most cases to hearing losses of up to 60%. These people can in their own eyes, cope reasonably well but in the main find it difficult to accept and more importantly act upon their hearing loss.

In view of these facts A.I.H.A.S. thought it would be a good idea to build a more positive case to wearing hearing aids by giving 20 reasons why people should do something about a hearing loss.

  1. Research suggests that in the majority of cases, wearing Hearing aids can slow down the degeneration of a hearing loss compared to people who have a hearing loss and do not wear hearing aids.
  2. Wearing  Hearing aids  sooner rather than later can give you a much better opportunity to rehabilitate to previously missing sounds.

  7. People who wear hearing aids later than advised generally find it harder to get on with them

  9. Family and friends can get very frustrated with someone close to them who has a Hearing LossWhen discussing the idea of having Hearing aids with someone who is in denial of their problem can cause stress to all concerned.
  10. For a greater chance of success, Hearing aids  should be worn as soon as possible when a hearing loss is detected.
  11. Wearing Hearing aids reduces the embarrassment of asking others to repeat themselves.
  12. Hearing aids can make listening to music much more enjoyable.
  13. When in noisy environments it can be very tiring trying to hear conversation. With the advanced technology avaliable today Hearing aids  do most of the work by reducing background noise, thus making it easier to hear conversation.
  14. Wearing Hearing aids  reduces the need to see other peoples face or trying to lip read to understand conversation.
  15. Hearing aids can assist a person’s hearing loss on a one to one basis with people who in their eyes speak softly.
  16. Hearing aids can improve the quality of life and give a renewed self confidence by providing better hearing.
  17. When worn, Hearing aids  prevent isolation that people with a hearing loss sometimes feel.
  18. The technology of Hearing aids   has improved immensely and when fitted correctly will not whistle to the degree they did 5 years or so ago.
  19. Hearing aids being worn for the first time by a user is more often an unselfish decision made for the good of those around them who also suffer.
  20. Hearing aid devices can improve listening to friends whilst using the telephone and more modern products can even allow people to connect to blue tooth compatible devices such as phones, televisions, mp3 players and lap top computers.
