Loud music could damage your hearing

In America a study of prep school students showed that 45 of the students out of  358 had a significant hearing loss and the common denominator was the use of mp3 players. We all now are aware that excessive loud noise can seriously damage your hearing, more commonly known as a noise induced hearing loss.

The Ohio students now consider turning down the volume when results revealed that 12.5 percent of the school had a significant hearing loss. These results show that problems such as learning in the children’s younger years would most certainly be affected.

We as hearing professionals have been aware of this for years and as much as we make our livings from people just like this, we should still be taking the prevention is better than cure stance.

The message is clear ,  your music might be good but the volume will damage you so PERMANANTLY…………….TURN IT DOWN!!!!
