Widex have launched their new power hearing aid the Fusion hearing aid. The Fusion hearing aids are based on Widex’s new “Clear ISP- platform” that allows the two hearing aids to work together wirelessly to give greater clarity in noisier environments. Working together by communicating 21 times per second, this new product is aimed at at more severe hearing losses giving a maximum output of 137 dB SPL
The Fusion comes with the benefit of Phone+ which allows home and mobile phones to be streamed into both ears without the use of additional devices. The noticeable attribute of the fusion is its size, which is probably one of if not the smallest and most discrete power range of hearing aids on the market today. It comes with a choice of 3 different receiver sizes, depending on the amount of gain required by the user’s hearing loss.
Even it’s size doesn’t prevent its performance as it comes with a telecoil as standard. Wind reduction is significantly improved upon even further by the use of a nano- coated microphone cover. To hold all that power in the user’s ears Widex have a range of custom made tips including their Custom hard ear mould (Output Extender). With all of this power and it is remarkable that a 312 battery can provide up to 7 days.
The Fusion which also can be supplied along with their RC DEX, M-DEX and TV-DEX systems to provide direct streaming capabilities from devices such as phones, televisions, music systems, laptops and mp3 players.
