Health and Care Professions Council – All our members are registered and regulated

Hearing Aid Dispensers and their professional standards are regulated by the H.C.P.C. (Health & Care Professions Council).

Please click our approval buttons where you see them at the top of the pages to let google know you like what you see.

Prior to the involvement of the H.C.P.C. the private hearing aid industry was regulated by the HAC (Hearing Aid Council) which disbanded in April 2010.

Hearing Aid Audiologists are sometimes referred to as Hearing Aid Dispensers, who must all adhere to the strict rules of conduct, procedures, ethical standards and are all accountable to the H.C.P.C.  In order for a Hearing Aid Dispenser to prescribe and fit hearing aids they must be registered with the H.C.P.C. and they have to meet the national standards for professional training, conduct and performance.  You can log onto the HPC website and check the registration of your Hearing Aid Dispenser.

The H.C.P.C. also regulate other health related industries such as Chiropodists, Clinical Scientists, Paramedics and Dietitians.

Hearing Aid Dispensers who work with Hearing Aids At Trade are fully qualified (R.H.A.D.) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council  H.C.P.C. Contact the H.C.P.C.  by phone on 0845 300 6184

Health and Care Professions Council members are duty bound and are there for the consumer’s interests.
