Starkey are the only American based hearing aid manufacturer in the world. They were founded in 1967 by William Austin in Minnesota, who first started a hearing aid repair company which in turn led him to acquire a small hearing aid ear mould manufacturing company. The two were merged to form Starkey Laboratories and based their success on customer satisfaction and care. Throughout the 70s,80s and90s Starkey led the way in providing cosmetic In the ear (ITE) analogue technology. They were one of the last manufacturers to go digital.
Their head office in the U.K. is near Stockport. They have just launched their new IQ range geared at better speech perception in noise and the Otolens which is a new deeper canal hearing aid or CIC, making it even more invisible to the eye.
Starkey hearing aids are created by an American manufacturer and they have been operating for just over 40 years. Starkey hearing aids come in the form of six different models. The three new models of Starkey hearing aids include S Series 11 IQ, S Series 9 IQ and S Series 7 IQ, and these hearing aids are renowned for working like magic for those suffering hearing loss – it is an incredible relief to be able to understand speech without visualising words and struggling to lip read.
