The Widex Fusion Clear range of hearing aids are adapted from the popular Passion hearing aid model in such that they are a receiver in the canal (R.I.C.) but with the added benefits of a telecoil or loop program and a lot more power. The Fusion hearing aids are capable of giving a maximum output of 137 dBSPL. As there are a few more features than the Widex Passion, the Fusion haring aids are larger but still never the less a very cosmetic hearing aid, especially for a power hearing aid.
The receiver that transmits sound into the ear is available in 3 levels of power, depending on the severity of hearing loss they are being fitted to. The Fusion 440 is the premium level of technology, offering 15 channels for maximum accuracy in programming. With a 10 kHz bandwidth, the Fusion is a must for music lovers as it allows a greater range of sounds often needed for total music enjoyment.
The Widex Clear Fusion 440 is powered by Widex’s new “Clear ISP- platform” which allows a pair of hearing aids to communicate wirelessly with each other, allowing greater clarity of speech when listening in noise. Whilst working together they communicate with each other 21 times per second.
The Fusion comes with the added benefit of Phone+ which allows home and mobile phones to be streamed into both ears without the use of additional assistive devices. Also available in all of the Fusion hearing aids is a special “Zen Program” that plays calming music into the hearing aid users ears. This is especially helpful for people who have tinnitus needing a rest bite from its affects.
The Fusion can also be supplied along with their RC DEX, M-DEX and TV-DEX systems to provide direct streaming from devices such as phones, televisions, music systems, laptops and mp3 players.
