phonak q90Phonak hearing aids have more than 60 years experience and a superb portfolio of hearing aid solutions. The team at Phonak distribute to over 100 countries worldwide. Phonak also have many specialist children’s hearing aids and are well respected in this field.

Phonak hearing aids recently launched their latest technology platform of digital hearing aids called the Quest Platform, which is available in three or four levels of technology and four styles Virto, Bolero, Audeo and Naida.

Virto hearing aids are worn in the ear and  Bolero hearing aids are worn behind the ear but the technology levels are all the same. Where the Audeo are receiver in the canal hearing aids and the Niada are high powered hearing aids for people with severe to profound hearing losses. The premium technology levels are the Q90 range of hearing aidsThese hearing aids now supersede their successful “Spice range”

Phonak also offer the Audeo Quest range of receiver in the canal (RIC) hearing aids, which is available in four levels of technology: Audeo Q90, Audeo Q70, Audeo Q50 and the Audeo Q30.

Phoank also offer a new range of power aids for people with severe to profound hearing losses. Something else new with the Naida Q Range is the option to have a receiver in the canal option, fitted either with  domes or a custom shell. Receiver in the canal hearing aids have been proven to providing a better overall quality of hearing, something not yet available in NHS hearing aids.

Phonak hearing aids portfolio also includes a cros and bicros range of hearing aids which are designed for people with a dead ear. Sounds that would normally be unheard from the dead side are transmitted into the better ear via a transmitter.

Hearing aids have wireless capabilities of streaming sounds directly from mobile phones into the hearing aids, via their Phonak Compilot, which also doubles up as a remote control. Streamers for televisions can also be purchased and prices are on application. A remote control called a MyPilot is also available to buy.

As always these ranges may seem confusing to even experienced hearing aid users. If you would like to speak to a dispenser to explain the differences further, please call.
