The Quantum 20 hearing aid is the latest premium Unitron hearing aid which replaces the Unitron Passport. The Quantum range of hearing aids were launched in May 2011 and are powered by their latest hearing aid chip called the “Era Platform”.
The Quantum 20 has 20 processing channels, allowing maximum accuracy and clearer hearing when programmed. The Quantum range is available in all styles from behind the ear to in the ear and is also available in the “Moxi range” which is a receiver in the canal hearing aid. The new Era processing chip is twice as fast as the old chip and therefore is able to carry out far more calculations more quickly. What this allows is a far more intelligence in the chips decision making process for much better intelligibility especially when listening in noise. The Era chip has 46 resolution sensors that continually monitor and assess the many different environments that we listen in each day. The key to successful hearing through hearing aids is to accurately assess the specific listening environment and then provide the correct algorithm for your best hearing. The Quantum is capable of using many different algorithms simultaneously because of the enhanced processing speed. The Quantum is available in 3 levels of technology the Quantum 12 hearing aids and the Quantum 6 hearing aids which are set at a lower cost.
